About Us

Joel is a quiet guy with a sense of humor that can make anyone laugh. He is loyal to his friends and family. He loves to ride his bike, hang out with friends, and take life easy. Joel loves food from all over the world, but is especially fond of Thai and Mexican food. He loves his meals spicy and will order the maxium level whenever possible. Always on the look out for the newest gadget, Joel is your go-to guy for technical advice. He enjoys his job as Software Engineer at Microsoft and has worked on a variety of projects including Windows Phone. When he isn't on his bike, on the computer, or eating, you can find Joel working on some project around the house.
Jessica is an outgoing and active gal with a passion for organization. Growing up in a family of six, Jessica knows how to get people's attention and hold it. She is well known in her family for story telling, dramatic re-enactments of events, and terrible jokes. Jessica enjoys being outdoors hiking, camping, attending sporting events, or riding bikes with Joel, just as much as she enjoys being indoors reading a good book, posting to her blog, or catching up with friends. Always looking for the next great book, Jessica is an avid reader. She enjoys her job at a real estate development company in downtown Seattle. She is crazy about fresh off the vine pineapple, coffee, and sleep.
They met shortly after Joel graduated college from Western Washington University and were instantly head over heels in love. After a two year long distance relationship, Joel and Jessica were married in October of 2009 in Bellingham, Washington. Together they have bought a house, traveled to Costa Rica, and are caretakers of an extremely independent house rabbit named Jack. Joel and Jessica keep busy by visiting with family, hanging out with friends, following local sports teams, and exploring the many benefits of living in the Pacific Northwest. Always up for an adventure, they love to try new things and travel.
This blog was created to help keep in touch with friends and family, to share their adventures and mishaps and to give Jessica an outlet for her creative energies. We hope you enjoy!
